How to Structure Literacy Classes

Here are some guidelines on how to structure literacy classes daily at ECSD LINC. These guidelines work only if Listening and Speaking are the starting point and if the 4 components happen within a thematic context as much as possible.

The following 4 main components were identified by ECSD LINC teachers, their sequence and duration may vary according to the shift (morning vs afternoon), teacher and students. Nevertheless, the directive is to make use of each component daily when teaching a literacy class at ECSD LINC.
